Time to Build an Ark

Rain, rain, go away, come back some other day!!!! The last time I checked the rain gauge, and emptied it, there were 5 inches of water in it, which had collected on Friday and Saturday. We got lots more rain, and tornado warnings on Saturday, and today, Sunday, the weather seems even worse. I never saw the weathermen interrupt the schedule as much as I did these last few days. Good Lord, please stop with it already. We do need a break.

I sat at my machine today and made myself a new top.

Busy Summer - July 17, 2007

For a person who has seen only a handful of movies in the past ten years, I have had a run on movies lately. I am not the critic that Ruth Anne and Peggy are, but I know when I like a movie and when I do not. Did enjoy and had some good laughs at "Evan Almighty" along with Peggy. The Robin Williams picture, "License to Wed" was rather cute and hilarious in parts. If the language in "Knocked Up" had been cleaned up quite a bit, that would have been a true to life movie. There were some spicey lines, and I do enjoy the female star , Heidi, from the TV, ER.

I was treated to a gift certificate to The Fireside Theatre in Fort Atkinson last Christmas by Mary and Scott. They also gave one to his mother, so we joined together and saw "The Odd Couple" on stage after a delicious luncheon . I can still see Jack Klugman and Tony Randall as they played those parts previously. What a hoot!!! The fellows did a super job and their facial expressions were most hilarious, and spoke volumes. We had excellent seats in the third row and talked about going back again for a future show. Mostly, The Fireside has musicals, but this play was most enjoyable.

When the hot, humid weather descended on Columbus, I stopped almost everything that was not essential. Just took it easy and did "sitting" jobs. We are waiting for some much needed rain. It has been over a week since we had any moisture from above.

Looking forward to the wedding at the end of the month. Expect to see much of the family and spend some time with Ruth Anne and Paul.

Keep well everyone.
