Season is complete

When we finished bowling on Tuesday night, our team had won 5 of the 7 points awarded each night. We did a fair job this season, considering we were on new alleys with a different surface than we had been used to for years. Instead of hardwood, the new alleys have a laminate surface. It did take us all some time to get used to the way the ball reacted and how we released the ball. Anyway, we did not make the roll-offs which will be next Tuesday, but we did get finished not in the bottom spot. I managed to maintain a 151 average for all games bowled this season which is lower than a few years ago when I carried an average in the 160's. Guess that goes with age!! Banquet will be in two weeks, then I can travel!!!!!! Looking forward to seeing some of my grandchildren. It has been toooooo long since I could hug each of them.

Tomorrow I am scheduled to play in the bridge marathon. My partner and I have two rounds to play and then that will be completed. We have lost only one round. Not bad for amateurs who have not played together very long. Good cards, I suppose you would say.

The snow came and went this week. It was that heavy, wet snowfall that was very hard to shovel. My good neighbors came over to help me, so all I did was sweep off the porch and steps. They did the walk and driveway. How blessed I am to have such good neighbors.!!! The weatherman is predicting more for this weekend but I hope he is in error.

Easter was delightful!! I participated in the Easter Vigil Mass on Saturday and spent much of the day Easter with two daughters, sil, and two grandchildren. Mary prepared a delicious ham dinner and I made the dessert. Everyone seemed to enjoy that. Angel food cake with layers of pineapple, cool whip, and vanilla pudding between the layers. So easy to make and oh, so delicious. Early home to beat the darkness. Alleluia!!!!
