Happy St. Patrick's Day

Today I heard a real Irish Blessing in Gaelic, no less. Our Pastor is of Irish descent and has studied his native language a bit. He blessed us all after Mass today and it sounded like so much gibberish, not knowing Gaelic, but a blessing, none the less.

At the local Steak House, the menu today, and yesteday, was corned beef and cabbage. I had fish yesterday and did not want to face the crowd that was probably at the Capri for the entertainment tonight. I did see Doc having his at the bar yesterday as I checked out, and it did smell delicious. One man band was to be the entertainment tonight and it is always very lively. I was there a few years back when he played and the joint jumped.

Have a great St. Patrick's Day and I wish you many blessings, Irish or not.

Wild Hogs

Spent time at the movies today with two friends, Wanda and Diane. After shopping at JCP we caught the 2:30 matinee. Laugh!! I thought I would bust a gusset!! It was a crazy movie which I got a big kick from, as did the other girls. Needed that break. Taped the Badger game against Ohio State and will view it at a later time. They did lose to OSU but put up a good fight.
This week will be mostly basketball on the TV. Boys State Tournament starts Thursday as well as the NCAA. I should really get my fill of sports this week.
Since my computer is new, the time change did not affect it. It shows the proper time. Yeh!!
My VCR had to be manually changed, however. I figured it out. Wonder of wonders.
Time for bed.

Will the snow ever stop!!!!!

The weatherman said we would have "flurries" today. Well, I swept away two inches, at least, before I went bowling. Had a fair night. One good game, two soo-soo games. We only won the first game. One of our opponents bowled three (3) over 200 games!!!! She is so good!! Her average is 210. With some effort, she could become a pro.

The World Day of Prayer from last Friday was re-scheduled to this Friday. There will be a practise on Thursday afternoon for the three of us who are soloists. We are supposed to have much warmer weather by Friday.

Our Lenten Ecumenical Service will be at our church tomorrow night. I plan to attend, but not for the soup supper beforehand, at least, that is my plan now.

I only worked this AM for Mary. I got things caught up, so left early, knowing that snow was coming. Before I came from Beaver Dam, however, I went to WalMart to get a new battery for my watch. When then girl behind the counter saw my watch, she remarked that this was quite special. I told her it was not one of the original Mickey Mouse watches, but one that I treasured because Dad gave it to me since he said he ran a "Mickey Mouse" business. At least, the children referred to his business as such. It did provide us a good living all those years.

Time to get some shut eye. Basketball starts this week in Wisconsin--tournament time, that is.
The college teams will be next week. I love to watch!!

Nighty-night.
